The contest is now officially on in Japan! So everyone get ready to start reading! Quick notes:

1. The bot now properly calculates sentences from multiple languages
2. The language you registered first is your primary language. Meaning that if you do not include a language tag for an update, the bot will automatically assume you were reading in your primary language.
3. I should roll out the new bracket based ranking soonish.
4. The tag for the Korean language has been corrected.  It is now #ko

Ok so first off we’ve kind of tenetively decided the 2012 schedule. We will 3 month long contests in January, June, and October.  In addition to those rounds, we will be having some shorter 2 weeks rounds (for testing) and maybe some lighting round stuff (more on this later). So without further ado, I’m opening the register! Sorry for the wait! As usual, here is the up to date list.

Before I begin the signups for the January contest, I would like to ask you guys what kind of schedule you would like to see this year? Some participants were suggesting we have shorter and more numerous rounds while others suggested keeping month long rounds and just having few of them (3 a year). What do the rest of you think?

Please try to read at least 1 page per day! If you can’t do that you aren’t trying and you definitely aren’t 多読ing! (多読 = extensive reading)
